In addition, Whitehead is focused on attracting new economic development opportunities that will bring entertainment and retail options to Oak Park. With a focus on diversifying the city’s offerings, he aims to recruit exciting new establishments such as a bowling alley, a family-friendly bounce house, an ax-throwing venue, Topgolf, a Chick-fil-A, and even a botique movie theater to continue to showcase both, independent and blockbuster films. By collaborating with the city’s planning commissions and reimagining existing spaces, he intends to create a vibrant environment that encourages both new development and innovative uses for existing businesses.
